2024 NATE EDWARDS ANNUAL FISHING TOURNAMENT RULES
TOURNAMENT:
• Catch, take photo and release tournament of Snook, Redfish, Trout PLUS a MYSTERY fish and optional CALCUTTA tournament (additional $50 entrance fee applies) which will be randomly selected at the Captains meeting.• Each Team member must complete and sign a Tournament WAIVER-this can be done ONLINE (preferable) or at the Captains Meeting (which makes for a long lineup Fri night)• Prizes: 1st to 10th place plus prizes for largest Snook, Redfish, Trout,Mystery fish, Ladies largest Snook, Hunter’s Dinky (smallest snook), Kid’s Angler (see below) and Calcutta (if entered separately).• Any bait of choice. Wading permitted. ALL State and Federal Laws apply
KID division:
• Ages 12 and under• Kids fish can be used towards team total, not to exceed the 3 fish maximum total. • Largest of either snook, redfish or trout.
FISH:
• Teams can enter a maximum of 1 Snook, 1 Redfish and 1 Trout for maximum total inches. • You do not need to have all 3 species.• No minimum or maximum fish size is required.
START TIME:
• 6:30 am lineup on Tournament Day on the Barron River, with National Anthem, Lord’s Prayer and Safe Shotgun Start after.• Professional start time will be lines in no earlier than 7 am the morning ofTournament day.
FISH MEASUREMENTS:
• Fish are to be measured in inches using the provided RAPALA measuring boards.• Fish to be measured with fish nose to the board and tail pinched to its largest measurement.• Fish will be rounded up to nearest ½ inch, by the Weigh Master. • Rapala measuring boards MUST BE RETURNED at weigh in or your team will be disqualified.
FISH PHOTOS:
• Photos can be taken on a phone or camera.• Weigh Master must be able to be view the whole fish CLEARLY on the provided Rapala board.• Picture must include:1. the Team LANYARD with the boat team number and the Logo face up.
(Lanyards and Rapala measuring board are provided at the Captains meeting Fri night)
2. a DATE and TIME stamp.
CHECK IN:
• Place: Everglades Fishing Company (EFC), 201 Collier Blvd, Everglades City, Florida• Time: as early as 2:00pm and no later than 4:30pm ONLY.
A 3-inch penalty per minute late to “weigh in” applies.
• Photos: one member from each team must be physically present at EFC with photos to be valid. No text/message/email photosaccepted/allowed.• In the event of a TIE, the Team who checked in first to EFC will win.• Return RAPALA measuring boards, or be disqualified.• Weigh Master(s) have final say!
TOURNAMENT PAYOUT INFORMATION
Winners will be based on the Largest total Length measurement of the 3 fish for a combined Total - (1 of each species only) Snook/Redfish/Trout- if you do not have all 3 species Snook/Redfish/Trout you may still enter the species that you do have (because they may be large enough for another payout division or could still qualify in total inches based on what other teams catch)
(*Example : BASED on 50 Anglers fees the Payout would be 80% of $7,500.00 which would be $6000.00 total payout )

CALCUTTA
▪ Calcutta is optional to enter.▪ Cost-$50/team.▪ Purchase entry separately at the Captain’s Meeting.▪ Fish species to be determined at the Captain’s Meeting.▪ Winning: 50% of money from teams entered goes to the winning team and 50% goes to our charities.
Example: if 45 boats enter the Calcutta at $50/team for a total of $2,250, half or $1125 goes to the winning team and the other half to our charities…it’s a win-win!!!!!!
