In Memory Of Nate we are committed to giving back to our community in many different ways. To date we have donated $165,000 to Charities which include Trade and academic scholarships, Autism, Special Needs, Down Syndrome, Wishes for Lifelong Illnesses, and much more! Nate’s Legacy will continue to change lives as he did here in his short 24 years here on Earth. We welcome you to become part of Nate Edwards Foundation where you will be a part of changing lives too.
Nate Edwards was in a tragic accident on October 1st 2021 at 24 years young.
During his short life he was loved by many, was generous with his time to family, friends and strangers and was committed to helping others. Nate loved to fish and, in his honour, our first Nate Edwards Fishing Tournament was held in 2022.
The Tournament was started to keep Nate’s memory alive, to help and benefit people and families in need, to have fun, catch fish and make memories as Nate loved to do!
Nate was a son, brother, Uncle Nate, Nate-Nate, Best friend, and a friend to so many. Mechanically inclined as a toddler, fixing small engines as a youth, put together his first car motor in the garage at 16, repaired anything and everything. Dreamed of starting his own business, tried and had a few successes and a few failures, like most young entrepreneurs. He had a head for all kinds of information, loved to search out new and random facts; because you never know when you might need it. He was loved by so many, the stranger on the street corner, the friend that needed help with an engine or auto part, need a shirt? He had your size. (Might be greasy, but you could have it), need
a ride, he was going your way, stranded in the middle of nowhere, He'd see you in 10, maybe 30 minutes; and didn't matter when you called him day or night. Nate's best day would be on the water with friends and family; music playing, a fishing pole in his hand, maybe a fish on the line, listening to the water lapping against the sides of the boat,
stories shared, and laughing till your belly hurts. As a Florida native he has always loved fishing and being close to the water. Everglades City is a favorite spot for him; he loved the water, the people, and the environment. One day, just an ordinary day, changed the lives of so many forever. At 24 years young, he had already touched the lives of so many, and made lasting impacts on them. This could be your BIG day! So, make every day your best!
